Furever Feline Cat Rescue

Volunteer With Us

Furever Feline Cat Rescue is built by contributors: engineers, researchers, digital strategists, field volunteers, and outreach specialists who believe that structured, sustainable colony management is worth building toward. We do not have a physical office or a paid staff. We have a distributed team of skilled people doing meaningful work from wherever they are.

Whether you contribute five hours a month or fifty, there is a place for you in this initiative. Explore the areas below, identify where your skills fit, and reach out. We onboard contributors through a brief orientation with your team lead.

Open Role: Crowdfunding & Fundraising Specialist — Remote

(Must be based in the USA)

Furever Feline Cat Rescue (FFCR) is seeking a creative, empathetic Remote Crowdfunding Fundraising Volunteer to help generate critical support for cats in need.

To apply, email us and please include a cover letter with examples of your past crowdfunding work.

Are you comfortable speaking on camera?
Do you enjoy engaging with others through video?
Are you passionate about storytelling that motivates people to help?

While emergency medical situations are not our primary focus, we often take in injured or critically ill cats—especially those from our managed colonies. In many cases, available funding is limited, and existing grants are dedicated to specific programs like The Hawk, our colony management support system. Because of this, we rely on crowdfunding efforts to bridge the gap for urgent care.

We’re looking for someone who can transform real rescue cases into compelling fundraising campaigns—someone who knows how to connect with donors, build credibility, and inspire action through platforms such as GoFundMe.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and oversee crowdfunding campaigns from concept through completion (including participating in video content)
  • Craft engaging narratives, updates, and visuals that highlight the cats’ journeys
  • Promote campaigns across social channels and work collaboratively with our team to expand reach

This opportunity is ideal for someone who is imaginative, outgoing, and driven to make a tangible impact for animals. If you enjoy connecting with others and using your creativity to support a meaningful cause, we encourage you to apply. This opportunity is also ideal for someone looking to build a writing portfolio while helping cats and the people who love them.
