The organization’s work centers around:
- controlled feeding support
- colony monitoring
- operational oversight
- sustainability-focused management
- collaborative system development
Rather than operating solely through traditional rescue models, the initiative focuses on long-term infrastructure and management approaches designed to support responsible colony oversight and environmental awareness.
The organization continues to grow through collaboration between volunteers, engineers, researchers, caretakers, and community contributors.
A Research-Informed Approach
The organization’s direction is informed by environmental research, colony-management guidance, and best-practice recommendations surrounding:
- controlled feeding
- managed colony oversight
- TNR support
- sustainability-focused operations
- long-term monitoring and accountability
Furever Feline Cat Rescue believes that responsible colony care benefits from structured systems that improve consistency, oversight, and operational sustainability over time.
This includes supporting approaches aligned with:
- managed colony principles
- controlled feeding methodologies
- research-informed management
- collaborative infrastructure development

The Hawk Initiative
The Hawk is the organization’s developing colony management support system designed to assist with: controlled feeding support monitoring and oversight feeding accountability sustainability-focused colony management practices The project continues to evolve through ongoing engineering collaboration, prototype refinement, and operational planning. The organization’s long-term goal is to contribute to more scalable and structured colony management support systems through research-informed infrastructure development.

This is the heading
Kristen is an accountant and cat lover currently living in Oregon. Kristen has always believed the underdog needs the most help and that no problem is solved with just a Band-Aid. You need to get to the core of the issue and resolve it, which is how FFCR was born. Kristen and her husband Jay are avid cat rescue people and have worked tirelessly with TNR Groups to fix feral cat colonies.
